Purple, Potted, Pastel Pansies - Perfect !

The name pansy is derived from the French word pensée meaning "thought", and was so named because the flower resembles a human face; in August it nods forward as if deep in thought. Because of this the pansy has long been a symbol of Freethought.

I love to plant and have had many flower gardens over the years. Pansies, especially purple, have been planted in every one of them.
....inspiration to paint them with my favorite medium comes naturally.

I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them.

Dark...I think not. Perfect is only part. Remembering you planting these, then seeing them bloom was like watching you start this piece, waiting and to see it come to life. It's funny how it took about the same amount of time, both seeds to come to life. They also both greeted me at the door when I came home. Thank you. It really IS the little things. If you painted this is complete darkness and chose the darkest shades to use, it would still be full of light.

I love you.

Nice picture. I didn't know what pansies meant. I like the meaning. I love the texture on the pots!
